Patient Profile
A middle-aged adult attending the clinic at the request of their family, who are concerned about their drinking.
The patient drinks 10–15 beers almost every day, both socially and alone at home.
This pattern has begun affecting punctuality at work and responsibilities at home, although the patient believes this is “normal” and justified by work stress.
No suicidal ideation, but significant denial and irritability when confronted.
